Our mission is to celebrate, honor, and support Wyoming's LGBTQ+ community while centering the legacy of where Pride began, the 1969 Stonewall Riots
Meet the Board
-
Courtney Titus (she/her)
Board Chair
Courtney was born and raised in Cheyenne, WY but considers Laramie her true hometown. She is a UW alum with degrees in Secondary English Education and Psychology. She has been an advocate and activist for 2SLGBTQIAP+ issues across the state of Wyoming for almost a decade now. Coalition-building, community engagement, collaboration, and care are values she holds dearly both personally and professionally. You can find Courtney planning Queer Joy in Laramie, WY events and projects; listening to live music; DJing at various venues across town; or reading a book from her never-ending TBR pile.
-
Rachael Laing (they/them)
Board Member
Originally from the Chicago suburbs, Rachael moved to Wyoming in early 2020 to work for the University of Wyoming as a digital archivist project manager. Their background is in history, and they have many years of experience volunteering for state and local nonprofits in the local history sector. They look forward to helping serve the queer community as a member of the Laramie Pridefest board. They love going new places, seeing new things, and meeting new people and stealing their hobbies.
-
Ismael Dominguez (he/him)
Secretary
As a life-long Wyoming resident, originally from northern Wyoming, Ismael has experienced a variety of communities across the state. From the informal community gatherings of Mexican dances to conscientious programs to help the unhoused, nothing is more important to him than helping others - even if that’s just a smile and warm conversation. He has attended Laramie PrideFest since 2017 when he started attending the University of Wyoming to pursue a degree in visual arts in 2017. Otherwise, he spends his time exploring the outdoors with his partner Jimmy and their dog or in his sculpture studio.
-
Anna B Rader (she/her)
Treasurer
Anna is a born and bred Wyomingite, currently working as the Engagement Editor for WyoFile. She was the digital media manager at Wyoming Public Media for several years, including being the digital producer for multiple award-winning podcasts at the station: HumaNature, The Modern West, and Carbon Valley. When she's not geeking out over sci-fi/sci-fantasy pop culture, or playing Dungeons and Dragons, she enjoys being a cinephile, hiking, and going to concerts.
-
Ariel (she/her)
Board Member
Ariel is passionate about advocating for 2SLGBTQIA+ rights and visibility; she is simultaneously dedicated to addressing intersectionality with the myriad identities that have been systematically marginalized in the United States. She has a variety social justice projects (both volunteer and professional) under her belt and an unquenchable eagerness to collaborate with other people on the road to community healing and liberation. Ariel appreciates opportunities to learn from others, express herself creatively, and be outside.
-
Audri McCurdy (they/them)
Board Member
Born and raised in the midwest, Audri had made their way to Wyoming in 2021 in a pursuit for further education. Now with a Masters' Degree in counseling and a deep passion for mental health advocacy, they are working in the education system as a support for students and young people. In between and during the constant hair style changes, they have continued to be an advocate for all in various community organizations such as PFLAG and Laramie Cares, now adding Laramie Pride Fest. When they aren't working or supporting their students in school, you can find them at home with their cat, Raven, while they read, cook for their friends, crochet, or rest the sore muscles from Roller Derby practices. Audri is looking forward to continuing to serve and support the surrounding community!
-
Eli Palmer (they/them)
Board Member
Eli has lived in Wyoming for most of their life and calls Thermopolis, WY their hometown. After working in public libraries for several years, they are now a member of the University of Wyoming Libraries' team. Their formal education is in English, Creative Writing, and Computer Science. Their informal education consists of crocheting, Dragon Age, and K-pop. They spend their leisure time in an armchair with both of their cats on their lap.
